Learn how data works in the real world. Understand statistics and data science without all the jargon or even math. Figure out how to navigate this new world of data even if you're not statistically or mathematically literate. I, Jeff Galak, will use my expertise as a professor at one of the top universities in the world (Carnegie Mellon University) to provide simple, yet nuanced, explanations of the latest and most important data based information.

Hi! i want to know how to input multiple response in data view
Hello, how do I report these GLM Contrast results in a paper? Could you please provide an example? Thank you!
ancen galak
very informative!
THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks a lot. its really help me. its really really different from what general Indonesian RUclipsr I see explain
huge help man ! thanks a ton , god bless you for making this video.
Excellent video and wonderful explanation. This has been absolutely helpful for me
Thank you for the clear explanation! I completely forgot how to calculate skewness and kurtosis on SPSS. 😅
i want to compare hematology parameter which one could be fix except age and gender
Great video. I’m relearning statistics and math, but this kind of knowledge is useful in everyday life when listening to the news, discussing current events, making travel plans, etc. Thank you for posting!
Hello Dr., I have a problem with some data analysis, let me explain: a bioassay was conducted to determine which diet (treatment) is more effective in shrimp growth. A quadratic regression was performed (SPSS v26), but now we want to perform a broken-line regression to see what the breakpoint is between diet 3 and diet 4. Could you help guide me on how to do this in SPSS?
Horrible
How do whites make more of the police shootings in the first data set if blacks make most of police interactions? Aren’t most police interactions from repeated offenders? What is bias really? How do we prove bias in a consistent and coherent way that can’t just be altered for a different picture? 🙃
Thanks Really good
You talk too fast.....
I want to test, for example, if women are more impulsive in buying than men. I did exactly like you and it turned out that there are differences. I could say from the start according to the hypothesis that women are more impulsive or should I have a table somewhere to show this exactly? or the test type is not good. As for gender, I only have women and men.
Good explanation. Thank you! Request you to speak a bit slowly to be able to follow by those whose first language is not English.
thank you so much, this was easy to understand.
Sira super sira I am Tamil student but English medium school. I understand very clearly sir . I am 8th stranded.
I would love to see the continuation video on "How to calculate P-value?". Thanks for your efforts. Keep teaching.
If I am comparing two things, let's say 2 ai chatbots. I aim to find out which one writes higher coverage unit tests for code. Let's say I asked each one to write tests for 20 classes (each consisting of varying number of functions), and that on average chatbot A wrote tests that on average gave 70% line coverage and tests by chatbot B provided 80% average line coverage. How do I confirm/disprove that the difference is statistically significant enough to say that chatbot B is better (provides higher coverage tests) than chatbot A?
Thank you, it was very helpful. Just one feedback, if you control your pitch it will be very helpful
Inquiry: If I had one group of males and females, and I applied treatment to them and took three measurements If the conditions for a t-test are present, use a two-sample t-test to test the treatment difference between males and females in each measurement Secondly, it is possible to use a repeated-measures test to compare the effect of treatment on males in repeated measurements I repeat this again for females
what a useful video! excellent.
Hello, I am wanting to follow this process by doing a hierarchical cluster analysis to determine the k for my k-means analysis. My question is, my variables are not all on the same scale so in the hierarchical cluster analysis I will need to convert them into z-scores or something similar so they are comparable. How does this impact the k-means cluster analysis? Do I need to do an extra step here or will my variables already be converted and able to be used again after the hierachical analysis?
This is an amazing explaination. Subbed! Can you go into Confidnece Intervals, Bayesian Estimates, and Effect Sizes?
I discovered the channel today, went to see what other videos there were but saw that it's been a year since his last video 😪
HI, great video. In your output of 'Tests of within-subjects effects' you have df=9. In my output for some reason my df=0. Therefore my p value is displayed as a dot (.) only in my output. DO you know why is that the case? I have a sample of 34.
Thnx for making such videos
This tutorial is amazing
Efficacy.. 99%effective at collecting money, during experimenting on under informed general population …
Really good video, thank you
such a good video, thank you for you help!!!
thats great, thanks!
Great explanation! Great, easy-to-understand, and clearly enthusiastic about psychology!
Another thing that people do not look at is, how much tax has increased in the same time period.
There are no good arguments against minimum wage. They same exact arguments have been used from the beginning. They are almost all lies.
During my conjoint analysis, there is no important value and utilities because spss stated "no analysis is performed because there are no valid cases" how to solve this. I did cluster analysis to get the utilities and std.error of each cluster but after performing conjoint to my one cluster, conjoint won't show results. Please help. I have no missing values, no duplication and whatsoever.
Thank you for this video. so helpful. Question. I have a data set with 1003 participants. I used 16 questions exploring overall attitudes of grandparents. When i do the factor analysis on these questions extracts 4 components. However, when I split the file by gender, the males extract 5 components and the females 4. SPSS created 5 new variables. Should I not split the file?
Hello Dr. Galek- I downloaded the data file with an extension .sav I tried Excel, Word, Word Pad & HxD. My file has a bunch of garble along with some other content. HxD shows the same decoded text garble. Is that correct or am I using the incorrect apps? Sam
liked the video within the first 3 minutes, owesome
Great video
thanks for your instruction. can i add Scheffé post hoc comparison in spss.
Is it the same on SPSS29?
I really love your content
What a GREAT explainer video! I was a math major in college, so I've known this stuff cold for a long time. But so many don't know this really important math stuff. I've seen so many examples of journalism data is presented as "average" or even where it is just implied as "typical" data, which is not even clearly specified as whether it is "average" or "median." You are doing a GREAT service.
This is a brilliant video, thanks very much professor.
In case the Sig for some variables is bigger than .001 what should we do? Should we screen and remove them and do the cluster analysis again?
Which method of hierarchical or K-means is the most appropriate for dichotomous variables with binary coding (0,1) showing the presence and absence of a variable?
